District Courses
R.E.A.D. offers two courses for Kansas educators to obtain their Seal of Literacy. These courses are certified and approved through the Kansas State Board of Education (KSDE) and the International Dyslexia Association (IDA).

Seal of Literacy Courses

What does it cost?
R.E.A.D. Redefined & Literacy Redefined are both on the At-Risk list for Kansas. Therefore, At-Risk funds may be used to purchase both the training and the materials for these two Seal of Literacy courses.
R.E.A.D. Redefined
Cost reflects the total for each full year within the training program. Practicum courses are included and require no additional fee. Cost is per person. Payment is expected in full 3 weeks prior to class introduction.
Year 1
Theory & Practice
$2,500 + $500 material fee
$500 digit fee for student books -*optional

Year 2
Planning, Application, Assessment, & Evaluation
$2,500 + $500 material fee
$500 digit fee for student books - *optional

Literacy Redefined
Cost is per person. Payment is expected in full 3 weeks prior to class introduction. The 5 classes may be spread out throughout district aligned PD days, or based on district preference if the course is being offered to more than 10 individuals in a district.
