R.E.A.D. Redefined

Learn how to apply the Science of Reading and the Multi-Sensory Approach.

Courses are designed to equip interns with the knowledge necessary to successfully teach students to read, write, and spell. This is a research-based structured, systematic, and explicit reading methodology to reach all students. This course has received the highest level of Accreditation, Accreditation Plus, through the International Dyslexia Association, ensuring best practices for therapists and students.

This course consists of two full weeks for the first Introductory course and a second two weeks for the Advanced concepts course. These two courses are typically offered one year apart to allow interns adequate practicum experience. There are two built in practicum requirements for interns. These practicums provide direct feedback from the program creators and ensure proficiency in the R.E.A.D. program implementation.

As educators we know, it is the training of the teacher that makes the difference for the students. At R.E.A.D. we want to ensure educators receive more than just the materials!

What sets R.E.A.D. Redefined apart? We self publish our books. We know the importance of staying current in the field of literacy. The Science of Reading is a living document that is ever changing. We strive to incorporate and apply the newest research and best practices into our program, making us up-to-date and relevant to today's standards.

R.E.A.D. curriculum features the work of Tim Rasinski.

R.E.A.D. leads students through the writing process beginning with oral language and progressing to advanced writing composition throughout the course of the program.

As educators we have seen deficits in comprehension. Students require background knowledge to advance their overall understanding of text. The R.E.A.D. program incorporates extensive background knowledge development in a unique format, ensuring engagement of all students.
